This sector includes Environmental Services, General Services, Metropolitan Wastewater, and Water Department.
These departments provide necessary trash, landfill, water, sewer, and general maintenance services to the entire City of San Diego. SDDPC has worked with each of them to automate hundreds of processes through IT solutions and continues to provide them with state-of-the-art technologies which make their service to the citizens more productive and efficient.
A major system for the Water Department is Water Billing. SDDPC staff, in partnership with the customer, designed, developed and implemented this project 20+ years ago. This mainframe system is critical to the Water Department and continues to be a top priority for SDDPC.
SDDPC staff provide many GIS (Mapping) and CADD solutions for the various departments throughout this sector.
